At this site, sponsored by the British distributors of Contax cameras, we
aim to give you a brief taste of each model, with a little extra information
about those most recently introduced.

What the experts say (as they said it) about Contax...
STU WILLIAMSON - famous for his unique style of art and studio
photography.
"Just a few points, which I consider to be very important.
Carl Zeiss lenses provide real optical quality, with smooth yet firm focusing action and balanced contrast.
I can have complete manual control over the setting of the shutter speed and aperture on the lens and body.
The use of standard AA battery fitting, means I can buy batteries anywhere, without searching for a specialist shop. I like the failsafe film-loaded indicator.
Overall, Contax feels goods and the weight sits comfortably in the hand."
Eric Howard - winner of the RPS Gold Medal
Contax is quite simply the best 35mm camera available today. Tough, well designed bodies and Carl Zeiss lenses.
There is also a clever little adaptor so that I can use my Hasselblad lens, which adds all sorts of advantages.
My favourite is the S2, no gimmicks, just F.Stops and speed-settings, in other
words you are incomplete control of a true camera!"
