Scanlite Results

Our test subject is almost impossible to photograph - a silver-plated casting of a Victorian photographer with child sitter in studio, from the Evergreen Studio Collection (0121 233 3879 - around £65-70, and a great studio ornament or paperweight!). Note the difficult direct reflections, and the central bookcase area which is only properly lit by the overhead softbox. These are colour shots, and only one shows colour failure.

Scandles - two heads, 1m to each side of subject, in 'Sports' conincal reflectors, full power, f11, 1 minute ezposure.

Scanlites - identically placed 1kW heads, one with a spill-kill, the other a parabolic - f11, 8 seconds exposure!

One Scanlite in 1m Elinchrom softbox, 80cm above subject. Three minutes exposure, correct balance.

Scanlites, softbox moved down to 30cm above subject and second light placed to the rear, direct. 30 seconds exposure.
