Pines at Roshven

The afterglow - the 'gloaming' in which visitors to Scotland in Summer find the 'roaming' irresistible until they encounter the voracity of the Scots midge - is a feature of North between the Spring and Autumn equinoxes. Hand-held photography is possible for eighteen or more hours in the day, and it never becomes truly dark. These pines at Roshven, Moidart, Inverness-shire were photographed by 'late evening' afterglow using a tripod and an exposure of half a second - at a time close to midnight.
